From 305TPI to carb 400sb
I just recently pulled the tired 305TPI motor from my 86 to swap in a 400sb. I'm wanting to clean the engine bay up the most that I can. I'd like to be able to pop the hood and see mainly just the motor. I need help limiting the amount of wires in the engine bay. So basically what wires in this mess need to stay and what can I ditch?

The ECM harness contains most of the wiring and nothing you need for a carb set-up. Pull it all out together and plug the hole.

Yeah, pull the complete wiring harness and computer. It'll make it easier to sell the TPI, and get you a little extra cash. You'll still need wires for your ignition, gauges, TCC lockup, and such, but those won't be too difficult to wire yourself.

Basically, it the entire main harness from the pass side from where it enters the pass kick panel area. There will be a few wires that run from pass side harness to driver side area through the loom that runs over the bellhousing - just fish those out of the loom to keep the TPI harness in tact and thus you can sell the TPI harness.
The driverside harness and all it's wires need to remain - that's lights, starter, charging, etc.
