89 RS

Just picked up a 89 RS with a 2.8l V6. Gonna switch to a v8 just not sure what engine. This is my first camaro and while I know my way around a shop Ive never gone in depth like I plan to with this. Any ideas or suggested would be helpful. Thanks

Read and read lol. Plenty of info you could ever want on here. I believe there is a sticky specifically for doing V6 to V8 swaps. I believe there is quite a bit involved with putting a V8 in a V6 car; so if you haven't done it before do plenty of research.

What do you mean by quite a bit lol. I was hoping because the model year of the car supported a v8 it wouldnt be as bad lol. Wishful thinking I suppose.

Every third gen supported the V8.

If you haven't done it yet, read the V6 to V8 swap sticky in the top section of this forum.
