I am swapping a 350 into a 85 305 z28 with a carb setup. I was wondering what parts i can use on both. Also i have the 700r4 transmission is this the ideal transmission for the swap if not what is a better option. Also my headers are 2055HKR will they still fit the new setup with the gmmg exhaust i have attached to them.

 

you can use everything off the 305 exhaust included and if your driving the car on the street the 700r4 is your best bet just upgrade it alittle and youll be fine

 

what upgrades to the 700r4 are u suggesting

 

get it rebuilt and add a trans go shift kit

 

The trans-go kit,Vett servos,.05 boost valve or look into TCI and I think the have better quality parts in different level kit forms.Oh yeah-a trans cooler no matter what.
