what to do about the computer?

I have the CC Carb/Computer in my car, but i'm going to straight carburetor. What do I do about the computer and wires, I don't really want to rip them out and turn my car into a hackjob car.

Should I just zip tie the wires together and cram them inside?

The engine going in is a 350.

Re: what to do about the computer?

The computer harness is the one coming up from the right fender well.

Take off the right inner fender liner (plastic piece) and look. 1 look is worth 1000 words.

Just follow each one, and CAREFULLY disconnect it and peel it back. You can wad them all up and leave them in the inner fender; or, unclip the plastic clip thing that holds the big plug into the cowl, and extract it whole from the car. You'll have to remove the CEL bulb if you do that. You'll also need to plug the big square hole it'll leave, so rainwater doesn't splooooooosh into the interior behind the right kick panel.

I'd suggest removing the sensors that they plug into, and store them with the harness; put pipe plugs into the holes in the engine that they came out of, as required.

Above all, as I think I probably don't need to tell you by the way you asked, LEAVE YOUR DYKES IN YOUR TOOLBOX. Cut NOTHING. You just never know when that harness might come in handy. Like, if what happened to me, happens to you, and you get transferred to California.

Thats what I was thinking, If someone ever wants to revert back to the computer (not sure why_), they will always have it. (also for smog reasons).
