305 t0 350
If someone could give me some recomendations or lead me to an already posted thread it would be greatly appreciated. I am installing a 350/290 in my 86 Z-28, what I need is advice on what injectors, fuel pump, gasket kit and possible headers you would recommend. I intend to use the car mainly as a cruiser and not race it so would headers make much of a difference. If you could give me manufacture and p/n suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

if your just going to make it a cruiser then just go with stock replacements. the parts store can give you those if you tell them what motor you have. headers always sound better and you get a little performance out them at the same time, that would be a must for me even a cruiser. looks better on the motor as well

Since you mentioned injectors, can we assume you have a TPI?
If that is the case, and all you're looking for is a cruiser, you won't have to change anything. Just change out the longblock.
Except the '86 305 has a one-piece rear main seal and the 290/350 has a 2-piece rear main seal, so you'll need a 153-tooth flexplate (just ask for an '83-'85 f-body 305 flexplate at your parts store, in case the engine doesn't come with a flexplate).
