some questions about an LT1 swap

I have a 85 firebird with a **** engine in it, but a freshly rebuilt trans (700R4) its the V6 one so do I need a V8 kit for it or something? I also wanna know if I can just replace the whole wiring harness instead of splicing things together... sounds too complicated. uhm and can I use the stock fusebox? or is that too complicated? and can I use the stock fuel lines?

Re: some questions about an LT1 swap

Forget the V6 trans or any 700R4 for that matter. You want 4L60E or T56 with the new engine

A proper swap harness will completely replace your old V6 harness. In the building, part of the V6 harness is cut free and incorporated into the new harness

Stock fuseblock is more than enough

Stock fuel lines can be reused if you really want to. You need custom extensions from the framerail in the engine bay to the fuel rails on the intake. Theres about $75 difference in replacing ALL of the fuel lines with braided AN6 vs just building the short section

Read the sticky before you go much farther and do searches on LT1 swaps. There are quite a few of them
