Latest project..
I am purchasing a 95 Camaro with a 383 Stroker from a friend of my fathers... I am buying the WHOLE car because it is a killer deal. I plan on swapping the motor, computer, wiring harness, and transmission into my 91 RS Camaro...
But this would be my third motor swap, but I have never done something of this calliber... Any advice as to what I am really getting myself into?
Also, I don't trust the stock rear end to hold up for very long, so i would like to add a stronger rear end. I was thinking a ford 9'', or a 12 bolt. What fabrications would need to be done to make it work with my car?
Thanks,
Tonya

you can tranfer alot from the 4th gen to the third depending on how much you want to do the tranny crossmember will be diff but most everything else will go right in and you can use the radiator fans brake booster master rear end gas tank drive shaft get the brackets and use the brakes too and the whole interior if your up for it
I would get a painless just to save yourself the time and headache I did the dash so didnt need convertors ect for fuel and speed
Ive had a 383 lt4 with a 6 speed and ran a stock 95 rearend with 100s of trackpasses with 1.6 60s

The paint and interior is pretty crummy, but motor wise, not a thing. It's owned by a 90+ Year old man that collects all kinds of muscle cars, used and old, and is trying to hurry up and reduce his car collection so he doesn't burden his kids with them all when he passes... I am getting the whole car for 1500 bucks. The motor has 50,000 miles on the rebuild. I got to listen and drive it, and that motor sounds awesome, and the car just flies.
And Lunati,
What brackets am I going to need? Can I just get them from the 95, and have them work for the 91? I like buying the whole car so I can have everything that is compatible swapped over, instead of goose-chasing and hunting down the parts..
