help with flexplate differences

Im swapping my 305 for a 350 vortec. The 350 has a 168 tooth flexplate but I need to use the one off the 305 to avoid buying another starter. Will the balance be the same with the smaller flexplate?

Re: help with flexplate differences

Yes, but your 2 piece RMS flexplate won't fit a 1 piece RMS crankshaft.

Re: help with flexplate differences

just get a flexplate for pretty much any F body with a V8 built from 86-97 and you'll be good..
you need the 153 tooth flexplate that measures 12.75" across.
