I have read the "sticky" on the V6/V8 swap but it's a bit vague. I am swapping a 91 TPI 350 in place of the original 3.1 V6 into my 1992 Camaro. I am wondering if I can install the V8 Ecu into the original (V6) under-dash harness based on the following thread:

It's vague because there are too many possible combinations for the details beyond what is listed.
The ECM should plug into your V6 dash harness.

It plugs in fine, but is the only way to know if it's going to work is by trying to start the car???

I'm sure there's threads on LS1 swaps and keeping the 90-92 stock gauges but I've been searching and can't find anything, can someone please post a link below on that topic
