I am looking for the accessory wire harness for an 86 Firebird that plugs into a connector by the steering column and contains the connectors for the hatch release, rear defrost, and performance sound.

Second pic shows the connector by the steering column that it should plug into.

I believe this is what you need. From a driving 86 TA . I have switches and other harness parts too.

Ah, just saw you were looking for one with performance sound option. That 86 doesn't have that, I'll see if I still have the one from the 85 that did.

Sorry for not replying sooner. That does look like the harness I'm looking for, just trying to add the hatch release to my car. I just assumed it would have all the other accessories as well. However, I currently have one on the way, but will take yours if it doesn't work.

Ok. I think the performance sound harness was separate. It also connected to an amp behind the dash.
