v6 to v8 swap carb question

Car: 1992 Camaro RS 25th Anni.
Engine: 5.0l TBI
Transmission: 700R4 Automatic
Axle/Gears: 3.73 Gov lock
v6 to v8 swap carb question
pulling 2.8l for carb'd 305. using stock ccc quadrajet from 85 camaro, as well as the 305. trans is from an '88 trans am, 700r4. what provisions do i need for the kickdown cable and accelerator cable, and is the ccc quadrajet ok to run stand alone ?

You don't have a "kickdown " cable on a T700

thanks for the thread reference, I'm aware of the TCC lockup. For some reason I was thinking I had to order a bracket for the TV cable but looking back I think that Camaro may have had a TH350

I apologize for using the wrong terminology, I meant TV cable to begin with. The camaro I worked on prior did have a 700r4, we had to order an aftermarket bracket for the cable. I needed that part #, thanks for the reference vetteoz!

What do you mean by "stand alone"?
A ccc q-jet need a "computer", along with a ccc distributor, O2 sensor, manifold vacuum sensor, barometric pressure sensor, and coolant temp sensor. Trying to run it without any of them will put it into "limp home" full-rich mode. It can get along without the EGR or AIR.

I guess that means the hunt is on for a carb then.
