Engine Swap from 400 Small block TPI
Hello everyone, i was looking into swapping my 400 Small Block TPI engine with a 305 Carbed engine from an El Camino, Any Idea of what all i might need to prepare for?

Yea, i was looking to make this a daily driver, the engine in it now only get like 10mpg or less, the 305 got around 18-20mpg

I believe the 400 uses a different mount than a Chevy small block so you'll have to change the engine mounts, I believe everything else is the same. The exhaust might be slightly difference because the 400 heads sit slightly higher.
