I've got a 1992 tbi camaro and an 87 305 tpi camaro donor car.
My goal is to swap the engines along with a few other things.
I need some help with the swap.

What I know need to be swapped over:
-fuel pump
-radiator hoses
- fuel lines
- throttle cable
- air intake

All of those things are pretty straight forward. The wiring however is another story. I've done a MANY searches but am still confused. Can anyone give me an in depth explanation? I'm confused as to where exactly the "pin"ing takes place. I do intend on using paper clips.

Repin the 87 c100, c207, c211 to match your 91 c100/c207

Pinouts are listed in the additional swap info thread in the ls1 swap sticky

I've done a lot more research.
Now I just need to know if I can use my ECM/memcal or the donor car's or possibly have to buy one. Also would it be easyer for me to just convert the whole system to a map?
Does the repin proccess happen at the drivers side firewall connection?

I'm 18, I've got a lot of expirance with carb cars, these computers are alien to me

Use the 87 ECM and chip

Get a 90-92 harness if you want to swap to SD

My best advice for anyone attempting this project is to buy yourself a book on TPI swaps before you go any further, it will save you lots of headache's and a lot of money by knowing what you will need and what you don't.

You would be better off getting a new wire harness for a '91-92 and a new prom for your existing ECM that is in it. (It should have 3 connectors going into your ECM) 85 - 89 have only 2 connectors. Your speed sensor and speedo will not work if you convert it to an '87. Check out Painless Performance they make a very good harness that has everything labeled and fairly good instructions and a list of things that you will need.

Good luck!
