87 350TPI drop in 88 305TBI Fuel Pump Wire?

To the point, I had a 87 GTA 350TPI and I pulled motor and trans with all bolt ons, and engine harness and interior harness and yes the ECU also. Well everything plugged in fine, until I went to plug the main plug into the firewall on driverside interior. There was a extra plug on the 87 Int harness which happened to be the fuel pump. Their wasn't any plug or for the 88 wires that run under the door trim that command the Fuel Pump. The number of wires is different, along with the colors, so I tried to just temporarily wire them together. Well it worked, but the fuel pump is extremely loud when u turn the ignition forward to the start posisition, and even when its started its annoyingly loud, wasnt sure if I should research the wiring diagrams for both cars or look into the fuel pump first. The fuel pump is from the 87 350 TPI also, so I know its not underpowered. Any pointers or a shove in the right direction is much appreciated. Dont want to drop tank again if not needed. Thanks
