I found a used 350 roller block locally he says its 1 piece rear main seal and im looking to build it over winter and swap it into my 88 gta 305 centerbolt tpi
hes getting me numbers tomm but will just the block be the same like 1990 1992 ish gmc 350 truck.


please help

 

Doesn't matter if it comes from a pickup or a car, all the '87-up blocks accept roller lifters and 1-piece rear main seals.
Also doesn't matter if it has 2-bolt mains or 4-bolt, as you'll never find a 2-bolt block failure that could have been prevented by more bolts in the main caps.
The only concerns are which of the 2 starter bolt patterns the block has provisions for, if it has provisions for a mechanical fuel pump, and the common problems like bore wear, cracks, and spun bearings. Those are the things to check, before paying.

 

I have a perfect running sbc 88 305 with every mod
im building a 383 over winter in my garage for it so I need new everything..


but I thought they were the same


I just put in all new roller lifters and chevy perf lt1 hot cam and all the mods.


so for now truck 350 and 305 heads for now and maybe vortec heads ans eldbrock vortec intake manifold summer


I just want to use the 1 piece rear main seal and be able to use everything I just paid money for
