Disconnecting Transmission

Hi I am removing my 305 from my 1991 Z28. I want to lift engine out with transmission attached.
Do I just need to unbolt Transmission mount and cables and the yoke will slide out when I start lifting motor or do I need to undo universal joint?
Thanks Brian

Re: Disconnecting Transmission

If you have to do them both as 1 piece, definitely take the driveshaft off, if that's what youre asking. I wouldn't recommend doing it like this though, too many wires and stuff to catch on, it has to come out at a pretty extreme angle, and it's really not that hard to unbolt the bell housing under the car. Just a couple long extensions and a little patience.
