5.3l/t56 questions
I have a 06 5.3l (drive by wire) and a ls t56.
My car is a 87 camaro (tpi auto car)
Question in relation to the drive by wire, has anyone ran this, i see people switch out for cable but nothing on keeping it electronic, since i have to do work on the pedals for the manual, i was thinking maybe it be easy to just keep it drive by wire?

Re: 5.3l/t56 questions
I've seen a number of swaps where people retained the DBW system... seemed to work out just fine. Doesn't seem to be any particular advantage to changing to a cable throttle.

Re: 5.3l/t56 questions
Im more than likely ditching the 5.3l i take, i kmow the throttle body bolts up, im more worried about the hassel of DBW and finding manual pedals for it. Probably easier to go cable?

I'm not sure that you can just change over to cable throttle body without changing the engine PCM too. You might want to look in to that (sorry I can't help more).
