Hey guys I've got my swap Under way now and I ran into this issue where the shifter does not have enough room to move I looked at the k member to see if I could slide the engine further forward and im kinda stuck now and out of ideas do i need a different shifter to make this work? There shouldn't be any cutting envolved from my understanding. Also ran into this issue of my coil packs on the passenger side not being able to clear the HVAC box (need a/c live in hot climate and want to actually enjoy being in car) what's the best solution for this??? Really anxious to get this done been 5 years of hard work 😓 Any help would be appreciated thanks

The T56 shifter location is about 2 inches further back than the factory T5 location so you have to elongate the opening.

Okay perfect so im thinkin a 2 cuts with a Zip disk and folding it back should take care of it then.looking like I'll probably have to pull the console out too. I hear that the coil packs from the 5.3l engines just barley Clear the hvac box? I was also thinking maybe another option I could consider is relocating the coils all together and put them some where else in the engine bay I'm sure it's probably been done before if it's not to big of a pain

I reshaped the coil bracket to move the rear coil up away from the HVAC box a bit. Your eye probably wouldn't even catch it looking at my engine bay. Picture and instructions are in link below.
