Bigger oil pan

guys i am thinking of putting a moroso 7.5L oil pan on my 427 but will not quite fit in my third gen without griding the K member is it that much a better improvement for the engine compare to a 5. L pan

Consider an Accusump instead. Then you could run a half quart lower to reduce wind age and aeration. Also, if you do pull the engine, someone makes a splash shield to keep the oil from sloshing up the back of the pan onto the cranked rods under hard acceleration, it's just a little piece of rain steel, runs like $5.
