Bbc swap body flex concerns?
New 3rd gen owner from australia 86 iroc z28 t top t700 car.
Ive pulled the electric carb 305 out after a full body pull down and repaint and have a pulled a nice 454 from my 86 dually to go in the hole.
My onley concern is wether the extra torque/weight big block will cause my recently repaired and painted roof to flex/crack or twist the body any worse than say a 400hp small block.
Car will NOT be launched hard.
Although diff will most likeley end up spooled traction is not a desirable trait and not wanted in this case.
Are chassis conectors a smart idea or onley really needed if car is cornered?
454 will be farley tame with onley cam and top end mods.
Crusing all day reliably and smoking tyres with ease is my aim with no intention to put car on a dragstrip
