Improved Racing shows dimensions of common LS oil pans on their website. There are others, but these are the more common styles.

For reference, the sump of the LS1 F-body oil pan just barely clears the engine crossmember of our cars by the hair of a chinny chin chin. Any sump that protrudes forward of that won't work.
