ZZ4 Conversion for 89 RS

Will there be any problems installing from a 305 LO3 with this kit? Its not intended for it but I cant see too many problems besides emission compliance.

I had talked to SDPC about the same thing. They told me the cam had too much duration for the TBI, I explained the custom chip idea and they said no.......I purcased their TBI specific motor with 310 hp and 410 ft./lb ( I think it will have more HP than that) I have not started her up yet but we are getting close

I didnt plan on using the TBI, I planned on using the carb anyways. So it doesnt come with a carb? What components would I need to purchase for it to work? And why does it say the 350HO? Is it the same thing? I ask this cause I plan on adding a whipple supercharger on top of that in a year or so for a nice *** 518hp and 544lb/ft.

The ZZ4 is an awesome motor however the comp ratio is a little high for a Supercharger. THe ZZ4 will sit in and run all you need is a Carb. (750 cfm) The Ho motor has cast heads and a little less power however the comp ratio may be closer to supercharger range.

well im assuming they put the engineering into the kit for it to be safe. From what I have heard whipple is a pretty damn good company. And the crate will be fresh so it should hold up

Does this sound like a good grocery list of what im gonna need?
-ZZ4 Crate
-750cfm carb
-spark plug wires
-pulleys
-shorty headers
-oil filter adapter
-fuel pump
???external accessories.

So what all would you guys recommend for this swap. My fund limi on the swap is 4500, so...
zz4 $3,499.00
that leaves 1000 for accessories, can it happen?

What about the Speed-O-Motive 383? It looks as though I could get about 50 extra horsepower for the same amount of money!
