All of the pics I've seen of a Third Gen with a Big Block have the A/C removed.
Has anyone been able to keep the factory A/C?

Back in the '80s, there was a thirdgen Camaro in either Car Craft or PHR magazine that had a 454 big block with factory A/C. So it's definitely possible. I have no idea how difficult though...

If memory serves, the problem will occur where the right valve cover and exhaust and all that, will want to interfere with the evaporator housing. Might take a bit of fiberglass work to make everything play nice together. Shouldn't be any problem with the compressor or anything else. Some wiper motor setups will also interfere with some engine setups, definitely another area to do your due diligence on.
