LT1 GEN 5

Hopefully this is the right thread. I have an '83 Trans Am that I've swapped an LT1 8L90E into. Sounds great! Let me know if I can help.k

Looks like you're making good progress! Did you need to do anything to the trans tunnel to make it fit?

I had Smoke Johnson Customs in Huntsville, AL do the metal work. There was not as much modification needed as you would think. They fabbed a custom trans crossmember for it.

I've been suspicious that it is possible with just a crossmember and maybe a little persuasion from the chief engineer. Do you have any pictures of the inside of the car or of the crossmember? My ideal outcome is an LT motor with a 10L trans, I've posted several threads on the forum discussing this topic. Just haven't had time or funds to get the project off the ground.

Re: LT1 GEN 5

What motor mounts are you using? Please post more pictures of the tunnel mods. The only other gen-5 that I've heard of on these is from LSXMAT. You guys are pioneering the future of swaps on these! Keep it up.
