please help
ok, first of all, ive never done an engine swap, and am going to need some help. i know the basics, and i have a couple of other friends to help me, but there are a couple of ????'s
First some info: my car is a 91 Z w/ the lb9 305 and 700r4. the motor runs now, but not for long (the bearings are starting to make some noise)
1) i would like to locate a 350 for it, but if i find a deal, another 305 will do for now (i'll prolly have one built later on) i think that i have found a few leads, but if anyone knows of a good site to look, please let me know
2) will i need all of the parts from the l98, or will the old stuff work. i want to find the complete setup, so i can have the spare parts for later
3) what do i need as for the ecm and stuff? also, the 305 has an ads super chip in it now, will that be useless in an l98?
4) i have a chiltons manual for the car, but any extra hints or tips would be appreciated (i.e. sites w/ guides on the best place to start so this can be dose as painlessly as possible)
5) what are some things that should be done to the new engine before i put it in the car (maintenence, etc.)
6) just incase i should find a deal on an lt1, how hard is this swap, or is it even worth the time/hassle
i should be starting this project in late march/ early april, so any info or help i can get will be greatly appreciated
thanks again,
mike
