Hey guys. Just wondering what the basics are to complete this swap. I am considering buying an '89 GTA that is currently equipped with a 350 TPI motor. The car will be sold without the motor. I already have my stroker built & converting it to EFI is NOT an option.

So I am wondering what is needed to successfully complete this swap. Will i be able to use the factory oil press/temp/speedo/tach ect... or is this all dependant on the ECU.

So far I have thought of a few things needed for the swap such as another throttle cable, different pullies ect...

Alright at the bottom of that article it says that the only thing i cannot use is the Cruise Control.

Can anyone here verify that all the factory guages will work when swapping OUT the tpi and going to carb?

 

The gauges will still work...as long as you have the sending units hooked up....i did the same swap...my gauges worked fine unit i installed my autometers....
