Sorry About the no email, Yahoo mail isnt very reliable as of late. (or ever) I can log in but not send any outgoing mail.
The swap you wanted info about was a 4.3 to 305 eh 350 same diff. Only a few thing had to be changed over to accomadate the V8. The actuall mounts that mount on the frame need to be swaped over from a doner truck, 72 through 96 should bolt right in, although you might as well shoot for the same year but in v8 form. You could use the 4.3 mounts but the angle will be slightly off. I used the LG4 from the firebird in the truck and just got some truck v8 exh manifolds and intake since the lg4 was pre 87, 4 center holes had to be grinded out to accomadate the newer style manifold. Of course the distributor and ecm need to be changed. Ive heard tale that just swaping ecms will not work, 2 wire difference but I guess the 5 speed is less picky about wires. The stock 4.3 exh will have to be cut a few feet down from the leads if you wanted the easy way out. Everything else worked out great, so far no trouble codes and the sucker runs like a champ.
I hope this helps. If I dont get a post here i'll try to email you as soon as the account gets fixed.
