Suspension accomodations?

Engine: L98
Transmission: 700R4
Suspension accomodations?
When you perform an engine swap, are there any special changes or accomodations you have to make for the suspension to accomodate the new engine?
I'd like to drop an LS1 or LS6 into my engine bay, and swap the 700R4 with a better transmission, but I don't know if I have to modify the suspension more than it already has been in order for it to accomodate the LS1 or LS6.
