Hi guys,

I have a set of long tube headers on the car at the moment that I would like to get ceramic coated / 'Jet Hot' coated.

Do any of you fine people know of a company in the UK which can perform this type of procedure?

Thanks Phil, I hadn't thought of them. I'll try to call them tomorrow and will let you know if I have any luck.

So far, I've ran searches on several search engines and have found more than 15 companies who do ceramic coating........ but not for automotive headers. Each of them has been emailed asking if they can help, only a few have got back so far, with no luck yet.

One company I found are a very high end outfit who do ceramic coatings for pistons and engine blocks etc. They do NASCAR, NASA and all sorts of rather fancy applications.... but alas, nothing for headers.

Prices start at £80 for a satin black finish while the full internal and external coating starts at £135.

They do ceramic coating for exhaust systems, Powercote treatments for pistons and Run-Cool coatings for radiator and brake components.

I've continued to look into this and keep my eyes opened for new companies that can do it. I'd still recommend CamCoat to any of you who would like to get their headers coated.

 

One other I've just came across is:-

They mention that they'll apply the ceramic coating to other products such as heat shields.

 

I got my headers, down pipe and cross over done in the US (Dallas TX). Got recommended a place out there and brought the lot with me while out there on business and they got it sorted so I could pick them up on my way to the airport returning back home. Cost me about 1/3 or less what I been quoted for the same job done here in the UK .... quality is top notch.
