Headlight Question.

Hi,
I have done a search of this forum but can't find an answer to my question. For UK Legal headlights do the original American
headlights have to be changed. The American headlights are flat beam. What does this mean or can the original headlights be angled
so as not to blind the on coming traffic.
Any Help Appreciated,
Thanks.

Re: Headlight Question.

I'm no expert, but I have a feeling flat beam headlight pattern will pass a UK MOT, provided that any "kick up" to the right in the beam pattern is masked off with a beam converter. The beam pattern is a function of the lens and/or reflector, so you'd ultimately need to replace the lamp units for driving on the left. With the beam converter in place, things may be a bit dim at night.

Re: Headlight Question.

Thanks for your reply. I would replace with RHD headlights if I could get a set. Can get LHD ones no problem which are no good to me.
