Hey anybody got magnaflow mufflers or had some, or had any experience with them? I'm looking into gettin some. Are the original magnaflow mufflers pretty loud? How do they compare to the other mufflers like flowmaster, dynomax, spintech, hooker, etc.? I think the muffler is pretty much straight through. I like a deep but loud tone. Is this the muffler i'm lookin for?

 

I got the magnaflow muffler on my 89 iroc. I really like it. It does not have that hollow sound like the flowmasters and is not as loud as some other mufflers, but it has a nicer sound I think. It isnt exactly quiet though, its loud enough to get complaints from neighbors
It does get a little louder over time too.

 

I'll second that. Also, it's pretty loud around town, but quiet on the highway.

 

They aren't as loud as flowmasters at low RPM but they LOUD when reved.

 

yea well all mufflers get louder over time b/c carbon builds up in them
