Anyone here with edelbrock catback???

Just wondering, who all here has edelbrock catback? How would you describe the tone/sound? I'm thinking about going with it for the stock look so my car can be somewhat sleeper-ish.

Lol. Just looking for something diferent. What i would *REALLY* like is a setup that gives it that refined kind of domestic V8 sound. Has anyone here heard corsa exhaust? That is something I'd love to have. I heard their new setup for the C5's, it's a Titanium exhaust that is supposed to reduce backpressure by something like 80% from stock... it sounds SOOOOO good. I can't really describe what it is I mean... like, say a 4th gen or C5 vette with Corsa exhaust... then ours with blowmaster or hooker have this "krum krum krum krum krum krum" kind of sound to it, but the newer ones just have a mellow constant hum... I can't really describe it... I'm not saying our cars sound bad, I'm just saying they don't sound quite like what I really really like.

I love my edelbrock, nice 'racey' sound to it, not a hill billy exhaust. nice tone, loud but not too loud, pipes look great from the side, ok from the back

Don't they tuck up under the car like stock so they aren't too noticeable?

no matter what exhaust you put on your car it will always generally sound the same.... the only thing aftermarket exhaust does is tune that sound , that "krum krum" sound mostly has to do with the motors in the 3rd gens.. thats the way they are....... the 4th gen motors are MUCH different..... the lt-1 and 4 and the ls-1 and 6 are much much different and that is where that refined sound you like so much is coming from.

on continuation to my last post..........

the 3rd gen engines are sort of "bare bones" compared to the 4th gen engines......... our 3rd gens started what is around today..... we had the carbed 305's , tbi 305's, and tpi being the most sophisticated induction system is even kind of primitive compared to the lt-1 miniram and ls-1 cross between tpi and miniram. also the 4th gen engines have higher compression ratios thus making the sound more refined. our engines are kind of like the old pre-emmsions blocks with a computer and a bunch of emmisions crap, the 4th gens are aluminum block.... heads blah blah..... its the motor not so much the exhaust is my point lol.

I did, I bought american thunder and I don't like it too much. It seems almost like it got quieter... and after having seen the cross section of a flowmaster muffler in person I decided I'm getting rid of it. Plus, everyone and their grandma has flowmaster these days.

Then you don't need to buy a new cat-back, just the muffler.

I have the Edelbrock Cat-Back and I like the sound it has. It's not super loud like some others more of a low-toned rumble that sounds real good at all engine speeds. the pipes all fit together real well and the tail pipes are cut at an angle like the stocks so that you can tuck them up underneath and out of site.
