Help Please

I am getting a new muffler/exhaust. I have heard flow master is a good brand, but I really dont know much about this...What exactly are headers (sorry im an idiot ), and how much am I looking to pay for headers and an exhaust? I want a deep sound and maybe increase the Hp's a little bit. Any recommendations? Thanks

ps. my car is a 1991 camaro rs...305

Headers replace the stock exhaust manifolds, the things located on the sides of the engine that your exhaust connects to. Their design allows better flow of exhaust out the engine for increased HP and sound. They'll run around $300-350 and most come with a new y-pipe which you'll need.
You can't really go wrong with Flowmaster for a cat-back. Though I prefer the Hooker cat-back. Sound clip of it is in my signature.

Hedmans

Hedman makes shorty and full length for $104.00 uncoated $300 coated but does not come with y pipe
