i know you can buy an intermediate pipe separate from the rest of the catback. mandrel bent i mean. so...where how much mula??any other comments you got??

 

$120 3" dynomax (part numbers 44063 and 43248). If I could do it over I'd have gotten the 3" hooker catback for $200 (if I knew about it at the time), or a SLP loudmouth (it wasn't out yet).

 

Check your local yellow pages for an exhaust warehouse that supplies shops.My sister in law works at one in Ill and got me a Walker 3" intermediate pipe for $40..........

 

I picked up a 3 piece 3 inch pipe from Mufflex for $100. I had them make it in 3 pieces so that I could install it easier and move it if need be if it rubbed at all around suspension mods and stuff.

 

i ended up paying 240$ for a flowmaster and intermediate pipe. I think they charged like 130 for the flowmaster so the pipe cost me 110$ its got crappy bends to. I wish i would have known about the hooker catback at the time. Soon as i find a shop that can make me a 3'' y pipe im gonna order the hooker system and hopefully find somebody around here that will but the other one off me. I may even change headers to edelbrock TES that come with the y pipe im not sure.

 

Contact SLP and tell them what you are looking for. They do sell stuff that they don't show in their catalog.

I got a 3" mandrel I-pipe and OTA pipe from them for about $120.

I bet that you would be hard pressed to find a local exhaust shop with a mandrel that can bend that size pipe. And IMO non-mandrel bent pipes look awful.

 

the dynomax is 3" all mandrel bends but it has a flat spot over the axle for the panhard rod support bracket rod that I think it rests on.
