Y-Pipe Size
Now that I have my Ceramic Headers (2460-1) that will need a custom Y Pipe. What is the maximum size Y-pipe that can be bent without causing any type of headache (scrapping the gound). Here is my plan. I would like to have a 3" header collector to 3" Y-Pipe, then 3" stainless steel ran back to Hooker Cat Back. How difficult will this be to accomplish. Will this setup be loud inside the car or would 2 1/2 be a better setup for my application in my signature. I really dont want a loud car, but a good sounding exhaust system.
Thanks:
P.S. I will not put CATS on this dog unless they force me in Georgia. Now no Emission Here

well local exhaust shop told me that a 2.25 was the biggest you could fit i argued with them but they said thats all they could do...so i didnt want to drive 20miles to the next one with open headers so i got a 2.25 inch that is slid into my 2.5 collectors and intermediate pipe...its so crappy i swear i wish i would have bought TES 3 inch headers and a hooker or flowmaster catback thru summit instead of threw them. well anyways my suspension was BAD i mean i woukd scrape after going over a litte dip because the struts were toast. and today i noticed that my y pipe is dented pretty bad...probably the reason i blew the header gasket on that side i think. you should have any problems if you suspension is in check and your not to crazy

Anyone else care to add some input. I just got my Hooker Cat-Back and will have to get a custom Y-Pipe. What size is sufficient that it will not hit speed bumps or curbs...
