i want to get a whole exhaust system fron the headers back on my 305, i was wondering what would be the best combo??
and also i eventually plan to swap to a lt1, would it be possible to have all this stuff on my 305 and then keep it when i get the lt1??

 

I got the hedman longtubes but I would recommend hedman shorties with Y pipe $200 from summit. then hooker cat back, i'm suprised Mark didn't reply

Also you should be ableto use this set up when you do the Lt1 swap. goodluck!

 

I have a similar question. I bid on a set of heddman hedders on ebay, full length and I asked the seller if I could use it with the single pipe setup I have now and just to replace the OE headers. He said I need shorty headers to do this. I just got a high flow cat and ravin exhaust muffler and I really don't want to run true duals for a long time. Is he correct in saying I need to buy shorty headers to keep the single pipe setup? I really want this for sound gains and just a little performance. Thanks!

 

You would have to have a custom y pipe made for the long tubes but they will work.
