I am switching to long tubes and I cannot get my driver side shorty off. How do I do it? I wont push down or lift out. Hits the steering column.

Unbolt the motor mounts and raise the motor about 2 inches. Then they slip right in/out. Thats how we got mine in. If it works for in... should work for out

Transmission: Auto 700R4

Axle/Gears: 9 bolt - 2.77

you can take the bolt out of the steering column at the firewall and pull it apart. thats the way i did mine.
