edelbrock air tubes

I have edelbrock headers with air tubes and they stick through the headers by up to 1/2 inch. Would having those tubes stick through the headers hurt flow? Would it be worth taking the headers off and grinding them down so the header pipes are free of any restrictions? Thanks for any help.

They're definately not helping you, but how much they hurt you I think depends on your combination. If you have an LO3, you may not notice a difference as likely as if you're running, say, a built 383. You have nothing to lose if you have the time.

I took a die grinder and ground the air tubes almost flush with the header tubes.
