Backwards Cat!!!!!
Backwards Cat!!!!!
I need some advice. I put on Edelbrock TES and Y-pipe, then had the muffler shop weld up my Catco hi-flow cat, 3" pipe back to the Flowmaster and 2.5" tailpipes. I was crawling around under the car a week later and the cat is welded in backwards (against the flow arrow and "in" and "out" markings. Is this acceptable? Could this have anything to do with the bogging out I get around 4500 RPM, especially when the car gets hot? I am planning to go back but wanted to be armed with knowledge first!

if I'm correct, cats work right after they are warmed up,
I'd take it back and make them redo it, they have to do it for free, its there f-up.

HA! thats ****ed up. I looked inside my cat the other day when I put exhaust on the car and it just looks like a whole bunch of screens in there. That just made me want to jam a straight pipe through all of it but I didnt. If thats all it is, just a layer of screens then why would it matter if they were one way or the other?
