Hooker cat back....LOUD !!!

I don't know what you guys have for a compression ratio, but if your running anything over 10 to 1 and you want a reasonably quiet exaust, don't get the hooker !! I had too modify mine a little bit. I have hooker super comp. headers and I was running true duals. I cut the three inch intermediate pipe with the kit about halfway down the driveshaft, then I put flowmaster's two into one adapter on the 2.5 pipes coming off the headers. I don't have any sound clips but it is a dry sounding high pitched scream when you get on it. LOUD !!! I know nothing about computers, but I'll try and get a clip for you guys...

I'm running 8.5:1 now and it sounds bad a$$, im actually going home from school this weekend to see the car. But anyways, while Mark is jacking up his compression, I am purposely keeping mine to that blower perfect 8.5:1 as an excuse to get a blower.

I'm running true duals with center in/out hookers and it's pretty loud, I have to be careful arround town and make sure there aren't cops around when I get on it.

The single 3inch in, 3in out hooker mufflers are LOUD AS ***, cuz if you take them off and look at them, you could drop a soda can straight through them! There is practically nothing in there, damn hollow box. We have one of those 3inch hooker aerochambers on my girlfriends camaro, I HATE IT, way too ****ing loud for a girls car (muffler is mouted below rear passenger seat with turndown and custom mandrel bent 3inch I pipe) already got a 3inch in, dual 2.5 in out aerochamber......the same exact one that comes in the catback kit, so that I can have it installed on her camaro and have a reasonably quiet car.

I don't think the Hooker is that loud, unless at WOT, compared to a Flowmaster.

mines loud as hell at all rpms. i did notice it wasnt very loud at idle before the cam swap. now i hear the whoshing of the mechanical fan in the front, tickety tick tick ticky of the cam coming out of the intermediate pipe, and the RUMBLE from the quad tips. i havent heard someone else drive my car by me, but i had a friend rev it up while i was behind the car and it was alot louder than my friends l98 iroc with a flowmaster. its awesome to come up to a crowded light with the windows down, and hear my little 305 camming and echoing off the cars next to me. i would DEFINATELY RECOMMEND hooker to anyone who wants a badass exhaust for cheap. also, i dont know anyone in my city that has it, and when people ask i say i dont know what brand it is. hehe, dont want anyone else to know my secret.
