Help with installing Y pipe?
Ok, I got the SLP ypipe for my car, and I thought it came with the gaskets and everything you need but apparently not. What gaskets do I need? Just a 2 1/2(or was it 2?) inch exhaust collector gasket? What kind should I get, do they make these in those copper or aluminum ones? My plan is to soak the bolts with rust eater the day before.... keep shooting them with it on and off all day, then the next day have at it. Seems pretty straight forward, but my dad is sorta freakin me out talking about it being rusted on and stuff.....

Yeah, unfortunately SLP does not include installation items with their headers...you have to buy their overpriced installation kit.
If you are just doing the Y-pipe, all you will need is two 2.5" collector donut gaskets.
If you are doing the headers too (which I am guessing you are, because otherwise why would you be worried about snapping collector bolts? just use new ones...), you will also need a set of header gaskets and make sure to use at least grade 8 bolts and coat them with anti-seize. I also found that the bolts with the recessed allen wrench heads work best so that you can get every bolt tight.
As far as the rusted bolts go, my dad was also getting me all worried about snapping bolts when I was about to install my SLP headers back in August. I sprayed all the bolts a few times with PB Blaster the day before my install and had no problem removing the 20 year old manifold bolts. Just make sure that you bend back the stupid metal tabs covering the first and last manifold bolts (maybe more...cant remember) so you will be able to get a socket on them.
Good luck!

And you have to use SLPs gaskets, if you use a simular one from felpro, you will have a leak.
