Edelbrock or Dynomax?
It's exhaust time and I need help decided between the edelbrock cat back setup and the Dynomax Super Turbo setup. The car's a 92RS with a 305 TBI single cat mostly stock, so it's not ready for something insanely loud. I see the Edelbrock setup is considerably more expensive and I was wondering if anyone knew of a significant performance, sound, mileage, etc. difference that justifies blowing an extra $120. Thanks!

Go for the Dynomax, its a gr8 starter setup if your not looking for insanely loud and on WOT it sounds nice... It also outflows alot of the competition.... Yes I run Dynomax now due to the fact my company is a retailer of them so it was free cant go wrong with that... But other then that it is a good starter setup which you can swap out there muffler for a different one in the future..

The dynomax is only 2.75" from what I've heard, I thought. Though, I think they sell one that is 3", so be sure to check.
I'd get the Hooker, but that's me.

The direct replacement for a 305TBI is 2 1/2".

Yup Dynomax is gr8 for the price you really cant beat it, unless you want a killer sound at WOT then go Hooker for like 40bucks more.

I'd go with Magnaflow. I just put one on and it sounds AWSOME!! Louder then stock and it will only get a little louder. But its still not loud enough to atract attention of your local law enforcemet.
Although i do have a 350 TPI with a mild cam and high flo cat. Good luck man!

I vote for Dynomax. I like my Super Turbo, but soon it will be replaced with a 3" Ultraflow crossflow muffler.

I will be installing Flowtech headers and a Dynomax super turbo muffler with a 2.5" I-pipe in the next few days. With the headers, will the sound be louder than having just a Dynomax cat back? Right now I have a completely stock exhaust with 2-1/4" pipes.

Be sure to get a sound clip of it.....and get some track times if at all possible. Thread
