I was wondering how much of a difference would there be with just getting a new muffler instead of a whole cat back system? I'm asking because I don't have a lot of money to spend at the moment, and I'm debating to just get a flowmaster muffler for now instead of buying a whole dynomax cat-back, and I'll just get the intermediate pipe later when I get a new cat. I just need some opinions, thanks.

No one is gonna tell you to get just the muffler. Unless you have a V6, the they will tell you that you only need a muffler which is a lie. Go ahead and save up for the dynomax. It is a good exhaust, Im about to get it. I think you wont be happy with just a muffler. Save up man, you will be happier.
