Ok just had two new cats put on my car two weeks ago because the others **** the bed, anyway my new "Car Sound" cats are rattling worse than a ford mustang after a tune up, my engine is tuned religiously, and always kept in good shape, is it possible that i have faulty cats, or am i in for some bad bad news (430 for the both + instllation) does anybody have an answer ?

 

Go under the car and see if something is making contact with them, like the shield or if it's something inside of them. Call the shop that did it.

 

Bad News:

Car Sound cat's are cheap crap! I had two Car Sound cat's installed. They started to rattle, and totally broke up, melted some substrate, and blocked exhaust flow in one of them, at 2000 miles! I took them back, under warranty. They came out with every excuse. My car is also tuned right, all smog legal equip, etc. No luck. The guy finally told me Car Sound never warrants any returns! I was screwed for $300. I went and had Catco cat's installed. So far, so good. Way more exhaust flow, more sound, and more power in the pedal! The Car SOund cat's were so resrtictive they were worse than mufflers. The Catco's at least sound very healthy.
