I have the single 3" in and single 3" out. With the cat on the car, it's pretty quiet, but with the cat off, the sound is great. The muffler is a straight thru design, so that's a big plus!
Haven't been to the track yet w/ the new catback, but hopefully one day I will, so I can't give you any times
Willie is running the magnaflow as well. He has headers and it sounds even better

That magnaflow on Dirk's car sounded pretty good. I'm going to get one myself because of the straight thru feature.

get the Magnaflow, its the best sounding muffler for my 6 i could find, so I;d imagine it would be awesome on an 8. It knocked 2 tenths off after taking glasspacks of and putting the Magnaflow on. It is quiet with cats, but loud without.
