What is in the way, whatever it is, take it out. I had to get to mine from the underneath I think. You have to be creative on how to reach it.

It is possible to reach it but you have to get it from underneath. It is easier if you remove the Y-pipe. It takes a lot of swearing, wrench dropping and patience but you can get it with the box end of a combo wrench. Good luck. Take lots of breaks when you do that. It will keep you from getting too pissed off.
You will need all sorts of wrenches and sockets when you have headers to get to all the bolts and so you might as well start buying them now.
You may have luck reaching that last bolt with a curved wrench, such as a "starter" wrench. Eventually you will need swivel sockets; curved wrenches; offset box wrenches; universal adapters; ball swivel extensions; etc.
