What side is the inlet on my glasspack?

What side is the inlet on my glasspack?
I got a 3" glasspack from JC Whitney that's going on my car Monday along with my headers and a full 3" pipe. My question is this: what side is the inlet for my glasspack? Should I put it on so the inside perferations are pointed towards the exhaust flow or against it?
