There's a kid at the track running a rustang with dual Warlocks and he says he loves them, I met him at a night race so he had it capped and it sounded pretty nice, not Flowmaster nice, but had that low rumble to it. He told me it's alot easier than unbolting his exhaust for open header racing. I never asked what he picked up by pulling the plug though sorry.

I have the 3" header versions on the '57 w/2-1/2" tailpipes. For my set-up, I gain about .2 sec in 1/4 when uncorked. I ran them corked for quite awhile w/o any tailpipes, and installing the pipes didn't change times at all, so I'll blame the corked loss entirely on the mufflers. Uncorked, they act as a torque tube.
If I was doing it over, I think I'd have a y-pipe with the bent leg going to the mufflers, and a proper length of torque tube with a collector-type 3-bolt flange & cap with wing nuts out the straight leg for uncorked operation. The "y" may partially negate the torque tube effect. Could probably rig it to slip a tube inside and block off the "y" with the torque tube, though.
For a 3rd gen, installed in the stock location, the only benefit of uncorking would be more noise. I wouldn't recommend it unless that's your sole purpose.

Re: Warlock racing muffler
I used these with 2.5" true duals. I had Race Ready cutouts bolted to them. They are "Turbo" mufflers so that's what they sound like. Mine were painted black, which I didn't like. They are also very heavy.
