I have a TPI on the way, and am building up a 350. I need to know what my options were for exhaust. First, how much of a difference is there between a 98 dollar pair of headmans and a 450 dollar pair of SLP's? Is it enough to warrant the price difference?
Next, can I run true duals on my 91 RS and still retain decent ground clearance? How much will an exhaust shop charge me? What mufflers should I go with? What would it be like if I just ran 2 cats with no mufflers? Bad idea? (I know someone who did this and it sounded awesome!) Any help appreciated. THanks

The short answer is NO, they are not created equal.

You may have clearance problems with some headers, especially full length ones. I put Hooker shorty headers on my 92RS, ended up having to fab a new Y pipe. Just as well the old one had 140K miles on it anyway, the new is 2 1/2 even better than the old.

I understand that JBA makes a set that does just bolt in. Also need to decide how much you can or in some cases want to spend.

What is it they say " Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go " ?
