Please Help Me!!!

If the exhaust tip pokes out past the rear bumper, but the clearance between the outside surface of the tip and the plastic bumper is about 1/16" to 1/32" will the tip melt the plastic? Please help me guys, it's not for a 3rdgen but on my Blazer and I'm afraid to drive it because the tip may melt the rear quarter panel. I've just never grabbed a hot exhaust tip lately and I don't want to let it get hot enough to find out. Thanks a lot guys.

hey, well it will smooth the plastic a little just above the pipe and it might fade it a little in that spot and also may leave sort of like an arc shape on the plastic and it prob wont be that notice able.hope this helps.

Thanks for the response. It could be worse, but I think I will bend it down some to get about 1/2" clearance instead.
